EM Federal Corporation is an approved Protégé in the Department of Defense (DOD) Mentor Protégé Program. EM Federal has integrated the technical depth and resources of Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure, its approved DOD Mentor firm. EM Federal is the first funded/approved Protégé Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Baltimore District.
The DOD Mentor Protégé Program is designed to: 1) allow emerging SDBs greater access to Army/DOD markets through Prime contracting opportunities via integrated staffing and technical resource augmentation by teaming with its Mentor firms; and 2) provide developmental assistance to SDBs in the areas of technology transfer, general business management, engineering, and technical matters such as production, inventory control, quality assurance, and subcontracting opportunities.
